Our sales associate sold us Guardian Protection Plus. We paid an extra $50 for this service. The service is to have our rug cleaned for free when it got stained, and the rug would be replaced if the stain couldn't be removed. Good deal, right? Well, I have a 17-year-old cat who is losing control of bodily functions. She has had several "accidents" on the rug. I called Guardian to clean the rug and after being on hold for 10 minutes I was told that I had to call within 5 days of the stain. When our sales associate sold us the service she NEVER explained this to us. When she handed us the receipt for the rug and the Guardian service, she stapled a brochure to the receipt. We didn't even know a brochure existed prior to the sale. In the brochure it states that the rug must be cleaned within 5 days of the stain. We learn this AFTER payment and only when we are ready to use the service? Thanks, the Dump. I like throwing $50 away on a service I didn't know I couldn't actually use. And no, I don't want a store credit that is only worth 50% of my purchase.
