  • Let me start by saying that I do go to the big box tool/garden center to get items that I've already decided on and I'm looking for that no interaction in/out experience. However, when I need help or I don't know what I'm looking for I'll go to Beatties Ford Hardware. It looks like a very small store but somehow, every time I go there I come out with what I need. This time I needed a fast lawnmower repair (yes folks they do small engine repair) and every other place I was calling kept telling me 2 weeks or kept me on hold until I figured that was their way of saying they didn't have time for my business. They have set pricing and when you want your lawnmower so you can cut your already high grass as soon as possible and they tell you that you can get it tomorrow then it's really not a problem and reasonable. I dropped it off Thursday morning and it was ready that late afternoon. Exactly what I needed. The mower runs well and they give a 15 day warranty on their work which is reassuring.
