  • The wife and I stayed here 5/27-5/28 for her birthday and for the Diamondbacks doubleheader so that we had a place to come safely back to after a full day and night of partying and celebration (Dbacks won both games, btw). We caught two shuttle rides - one down to the ballpark, and one back - which were incredibly convenient and greatly appreciated. Both drivers were exceptionally pleasant and courteous. Also, the desk staff were as nice as could be. They allowed us to check in early and they sent my wife a tray of cookies and milk with a card signed by the staff up to our room when they found out it was her birthday. This won big points with her. The biggest thing I was impressed with was the cleanliness of my room. Here's what makes it five-star worthy: you know that moment when you're drying off after a shower and you suddenly remember, "Crap! I forgot to bring my sandals/shoes into the bathroom so I don't have to walk with damp, bare feet on a hotel room floor! Gross!" Then, you spot those sandals/shoes ALLLLL the way out of the bathroom and across the room as far away as they could possibly be (naturally). So, you hold the towel vertically in front of you letting it drag on the ground just a bit so you can step onto it and do that awkward shuffle-walk; carefully keeping it between your feet and the floor while simultaneously trying not to trip. Well, when I did that and eventually made it to my sandals, I slipped them on and picked up the damp towel fully expecting to see two dirty imprints where my feet had pressed and dragged it into the carpet, but there was nothing. Literally NO soiling of any kind could be seen, and the towel still looked fresh-washed and bleach white. Well done, housekeeping! Parking charge is definitely a con, but it's not that much and the garage is nice and appears as fairly secure as they come (noticed a couple security cameras). Worth knocking off half a star, but not a full one, so the five star review stays.
