| - On an overcast and rainy early Monday afternoon, I was looking for someplace to relax a bit, have a brew or two, and make some plans for exploring Toronto. Conversation with the locals would be a huge added plus as well. Yelp told me that Pegasus was nearby and open, even told me how to get there!
Since it was a Monday afternoon, the place was not exactly overflowing with visitors, but I did find a few locals that were willing to give me advice on what to see and do while in Toronto. The beer on tap selection here wasn't overwhelmingly great but it was adequate (in other words, they had Stella on tap.). The bartender offered some pretzels, but I passed.
The place was friendly, but in a 'responsive' type of way....in other words, any questions that I asked were politely answered in depth with some follow on conversation. And then back to silence. Another question, another answer, another period of silence. Maybe it was the weather that was getting everybody down.
The saving grace for me, though, was the pinball machine in the corner! I ditched the random conversations at the bar and headed over for a serious session of Reliving My Misspent Youth. If you are a pinball wizard and play the table here, be aware of one very important fact: They have the tilt mechanism screwed down very very tight, so much so that a mild scream tends to push this baby over into the land of No Bonus Score. So light touch is required!
