My wife and I were at the Galleria Mall (2 blocks away) until 8:15 pm on a Wednesday night until we realized that we're huuuungry. Decided to look for a Chinese restaurant and Yelp served up this spot. It was 8:25pm and they close at 9pm, so when we got there I made sure with the lady working if it was still ok to have a sit down dinner. She was really friendly and welcomed us with open arms. Since it was late, there was only one other family dining in.
We ordered the "B" dinner for 2 (or more like 3). It came with soup (we chose the hot and sour soup) a small veggie egg roll and a cream cheese crispy won ton. They were all hot and fresh with a good taste.
For our entree (you pick 2 from a list) we got the volcano shrimp and kung pao chicken/shrimp.
I thought I had overdone it choosing 2 spicy dishes, however they weren't that spicy at all. These, too, were hot and fresh. Even though the volcano shrimp was doused in their spicy sauce, it still retained some of the crispness. The kung pao dish was very good except for the peanuts, which seemed to be a bit soggy. That, too, was not as spicy as it looked. But the rest of that dish was so good that the peanut thing made little difference.
Service/friendliness: yay
Comfort/cleanliness: yay ('clean' and 'Chinese restaurant' are two phrases rarely used together)
Food: yay
I enjoyed this spot and will certainly be back.
