| - Why didn't I look at yelp first? The promise of no add-ons, no negotiating, no hassle are all complete misrepresentations. I decided to finance through them for the $1000 discount. They refused to talk APRs and would only discuss payment amounts. NEVER fall for this. I had to negotiate from 9.99% to 5.25%. which lowered my monthly payment by $110 dollars/mo. After all of that, they misrepresented the added warranty. After I initially accepted the lowest level and then declined, they said "Well, we already put the perma-plate on and the alarm is already on. So you need to pay for those. I was so sick of the experience that I accepted the extra $9/mo (again, they only talk monthly payments), I just accepted so I could get as far away from there as possible. I've regretted it ever since. The only redeeming quality was the sales rep, Jay. Until he called me several times to put "all 10's" on the survey, regardless of how I felt, because it affects his bonus. He said I could definitely put any concerns in the notes. I waited a month and then filled out the survey honestly.
In addition, during that 4+ hour waste of time and energy, my friend's old civic that I borrowed needed an oil change. So I took it to the service center because I knew I'd be there awhile. An hour later while I was buying a $22k car, they had called and left a message that they needed to order a filter. They could have easily walked 50yards and asked if that was ok. So after all of that time in the sales office, I went to the service center to check on the civic. They had the filter, but still hadn't changed the oil. After 4 hours. They got it done in 10 minutes after my sales guy talked to them, but still charged me $30+ for it. Absurd and sad.
