Avg hotel with no real wow factor but what do I really expect in North Carolina college area. The receptionist was nice but she gave me a silver elite room key vs the gold one which I should get. Petty, I know but still I spent a lot of money to become a gold member lol give me my plastic key card that reflects it. Parking is tight here and you will miss the parking lot if you are not paying attention. It is a steep hill that brings you to the main door.
When I arrived to check in at 9am I was told I'd have to wait until 3pm because no rooms were available. No sir! Not after driving almost 8 hours. I politely told the cashier I am a gold elite member with early check in. She went in the computer and told me she did indeed have a room ready but it's inside he building and so it's lots of commotion and noise I can hear because the lobby is downstairs. I know I used Marriott points for this stay but still come on now as a gold elite member where are my perks? Not too thrilled with this location as it is a busy intersection and construction going on so it's lots of noise and very busy here. I doubt I'd come back to this location.
Update: I had room service come into my room while we were gone. They took out the trash and brought new towels in, but didn't make the bed! Where they do that at? Wow my wife and I were wondering if they came or not and we couldn't remember if we took out the trash or someone came in our room and did it. But how you not make the bed which is like the key thing to room housekeeping.
