My wife and I stayed here for a couple nights just to get away from Edmonton. Check-in and check-out was easy. For whatever reason two queens is a cheaper rate here than one king, which I would have preferred. They tried to upsell us but it wasn't worth it. In any case, we were extremely pleased with the rooms and it was probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. Obviously it's very new as even the furniture still smelled new. The rooms are large and the washroom even has heated floors. What a bonus. The indoor pool facilities were nice to use and the sauna was immaculate. If someone told me the sauna was brand new and opened that day I would have believed it.
Unfortunately this hotel is in the middle of no where so either make sure you have a car or are headed to the airport with their shuttle. Our room overlooked a neighbouring junk yard full of beat up cars. Keep the curtains closed I guess as it's quite the eyesore. Also, on the second morning we were there, we were woken up by a crying child next door which seemed to last forever. Not much the hotel can do about that but it really seemed like the father was egging him on which I thought was rude since it was still early. Definitely the hotel could have been constructed with better insulation between the walls because we could even hear the parents just chatting at normal volumes.
I would stay again during our next trip to Calgary. Despite being in the middle of no where, the prices are still relatively low, offering great value especially considering the brand new rooms.
