  • I grew up in San Diego and tried Hernando's in the hopes of finding a good Mexican restaurant away from home. The food is definitely not Mexican and it's not even Tex Mex. My meal was absolutely disgusting AND they gave me food poisoning!!! The bathroom and I made best friends last night and I'm still not back to normal. The rice was stale and rubbery and seemed like it was reheated in the microwave. The beef tacos were full of grease and encased in the type of taco shell you find in a "taco kit" at your local supermarket. Every time I remember those disgusting, grease laden, beef tacos I want to yak. Save yourselves from a night of toilet torture and don't go to this place.
