  • It's hard for me to find a good hair salon that I'd want to keep going to because I'm really that picky. I've tried Dean's salon 3x now, and it seems like each visit just keeps getting better! The first time was just for a simple color of my noticeably gray roots, and I felt lucky that Dean's wife could do it for me on such short notice since Dean's schedule was full that day. She's his attentive and welcoming assistant who will usually prep you before Dean cuts your hair. I only needed a basic color so it didn't matter to me who did the job. There was no overly strong, chemical smell from the dye so I'm assuming they're using quality products. A few months later, I found myself returning for another appointment to color my re-emerging grays again, and since I had such a satisfactory experience with his wife, I decided to let Dean trim, clean up, and smooth down my medium-long, coarse, and wavy hair. I must have been extremely pleased with the second visit because a little over a month after that, I came back a 3rd time for even more (partial, copper highlights and a stylish, layered bob with sideswept bangs)! I had brought a few photos to give Dean a general idea of what I wanted, and his expert eye (and hands) knew how to modify the cut to flatter my face. His technique is fast, focused, and efficient comparable to many master hairstylists. After he finished, I was wowed at seeing the 'new' me in the mirror! Dean and his wife (I forgot to ask her name, sorry!) work very well as a team. They offer water, tea, or coffee while you're waiting, super customer care, and unlike Salon Chandelier, I didn't need to reserve 2 months in advance. Dean's schedule can fill quickly on certain days, but sometimes, he (or his wife) can still fit you in depending on your hair needs. Also, his rates are the best value I've ever had considering the high quality of color, cut, and overall experience from beginning to end. I've tried the overpriced, fancy salons, and oh, the money I could've saved if I had discovered a stylist like Dean all those years ago! Parking in the small plaza is spacious and easy to get in and out too! I think I may stop my salon-hopping habit now... ;)
