  • New York New York isn't what I would think of a a high end hotel by any means, but it's quite a decent hotel that delivers what I expect out of a Las Vegas hotel: convenient location on a strip, clean and quite room, close proximity to other stores and not too far off from the crowd and generally not shady :) I think we got a hotel for ~$120 a night (excluding resort fee which came to additional $35-40 a night) during a long weekend (independence day), so it wasn't too expensive. We were able to walk to other places on the strip or just cross over to other hotels like Excalibur or MGM to take a free tram or a paid monorail to other hotels/places of interests. The theme of this hotel is not high end by any means. It's casual and is reflected in the stores that the hotel offers. They don't have high end designer chef per se, but they have restaurants/places that many want to try: e.g. shake shack, nathan's hot dogs, low-frill pizza places (that reminds me of pizzas on NY streets)..and hershey's. Overall, it was a good experience. We didn't mind staying at this hotel at all. Initially, we were afraid that we would get a room next to a loud rollercoaster inside the hotel, but I guess we lucked out. We got a normal room on a very high floor (even after we refused to upgrade for additional $15 a night to another room type). So overall, pretty good!! Check it out if you are wanting something that fits and is still friendly to your budget.
