I've now been to Kensington Brewing Company on two different occasions. The first for a "dad's gone wild" night that started here with about 5-6 beers and had us stumbling bar to bar the rest of the night through Kensington (A-Fox good times my dude). And the second was to show a beer expert buddy visiting Toronto some good craft beer.
Both times, I managed to snag some of the limited seating, and both times the service and beer were absolutely dynamite. We really do enjoy a Pilsner here in Toronto, as much as many other styles, but KBC definitely does it special here. On one visit we downed a few of their larger bottles (which I think were 1.5-2 beers each) in addition to flights and it definitely goes down wayyyyyy too easy.
Their flavoured stouts and porters are unreal, so rich and flavourful you'd think you were drinking dessert. The perfect ending to any evening of beer drinking here.
The brewery itself is clean, bright, doesn't smell like spilt beer like many others breweries. And while tiny, is exceptional at hosting guests. The one thing I really likes is their mini bottle shop as you walk in (or as you walk out). Great little addition so you don't forget some beers for home or so you can get in and out if you're buying beers for later.
Love it. One of my new fave breweries in the Toronto area!
