| - This is the first summer that my hair hasn't been a frizzy, uncontrollable mess and it's all thanks to Curl Ambassadors. I've been 4 times now, and the cuts just get better and better.
My stylist Keina is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about curly hair. She cut my hair wet and finished it dry, patiently snipping here and there until my hair fell perfectly, not too flat and not too pouffy. She also gave me great coverage for my grey and beautiful blond highlights. Very natural looking and didn't damage my hair like most highlights do.
Keina suggested products which were a bit expensive but they really make a world of difference, and they last a long time. My colour hasn't faded at all, my hair is silky and easy to manage and it resists frizz even on the most humid days, all without looking greasy or stiff and crunchy. Before going to Curl Ambassador, my fine, curly hair tended to tangle very badly, and my scalp got quite itchy. Keina suggested the "No-Poo" Shampoo which took care of the dry scalp almost immediately. The Deva conditioner and Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner have completely eradicated the tangles.
After my hair cut, Keina wrote out instructions so I could replicate the look on my own. Wash, condition, leave in conditioner and gel, scrunch, scrunch, scrunch, dry with a microfiber towel only, NEVER terry cloth and leave to air dry. Easy peasy.
The salon itself is cute and kinda girly and the staff are all very pleasant and welcoming. Keina is professional, warm and easy to talk to. She always sends a follow up email to see how I am liking my new hair cut.
Price for cut, base colour and highlights run me about $200. The appointment usually takes about 3 hours from start to finish. Worth every penny.
