For someone who's supposed to be in the hospitality business I don't know if hospitable is the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to this locations.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by a lovely staff member who clearly did not want to be there working on a Friday. I had expressed my concern that we were there for a wedding, and I didn't quite understand how the group rate is more expensive then the current daily rate. I had consciously posed the question in a friendly way because I was more so curious the response was "well that's the contract you signed, book it on your own then if you don't want this". Taken aback, and seeing that there was a line I didn't want to hold anyone up, we proceeded with our check in. Once she was done the paperwork, I had asked if breakfast was included and was told "you can pay for your breakfast in the lobby between X hour and X hour" (I can't remover the exact time).
At the end of the weekend when we were checking out, it was the same lovely person at the front desks. I had to ask 3 times what the charge will be for the room on my credit card, in the end she still did not tell me the actual amount, nor printed me a receipt. Thankfully I am confident in the brand and knew if I had any issues afterwords I could call to get them resolved.
It's unfortunate that such an incident left a sour note with us, because the property itself is very nice. The rooms are very nice, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. There is lots of parking, great food nearby, and good location.
