| - This place considers itself a "resort" and charges a "resort fee" but to me it felt almost like a Motel 6 but the bed was more comfortable.
***Thin walls. I could hear the words of an argument on both sides of our room (we were in between two rooms that seemed like they were all from the same, arguing family). This was in Manor C.
By the way, the Manors suck. I would never let them put me here again. It is far away from all the shops and coffee places. So in the morning, you gotta trek out of the building, into the sunlight, walk to another building, take the escalator up, walk a long pathway to finally reach the nearest place that sells coffee and pastries. Yes, there is coffee in the room but it sucks and it isn't enough for a real coffee drinker. The rooms show a lot of wear and tear and grime. It really makes me want to spend MORE money at a better hotel next time to have nice, clean surroundings.
***The fire alarm went off at 4am our first night. Everyone went outside in PJs, wondering what happened. There wasn't a fire. The security guards rode over on their bikes and nonchalantly informed a few guests the alarm must have been engaged by someone on purpose. They didn't make an official announcement that is was OK to return to our rooms, you just had to guess by noticing everyone going back into the building. Very unprofessional. It was obvious they don't have a real disaster plan.
***The pool was closed at 2pm on our 2nd day, the one day we had planned to take the kids swimming. Not sure what happened. There wasn't a cleaning crew or any activity. It was 106 degrees outside.
***The Midway games are still fun! The people running them are all cheerful and good at making the games fun and exciting. I liked that.
***The wi-fi is good and fast and free.
I won't stay here again and I would not recommend it to anyone else.
