YELP 365 CHALLENGE 2014-(320/365) "The Hunt For The Perfect Honey Toast"
This was a last minute stop after 168 Market didn't have what I was looking for...I wanted a nice, uncut loaf of bread to do some Honey Toast since I had some local Honey from Kailua, Kona that was sent by my brother as a gift.
Desir Bakery had some nice loaves but they were all sliced, so I made a mad dash to L'elysee Bakery before they closed. Inside was pretty dark and pretty much cleaned out, but I came across this uncut Crisp Top Butter Milk Loaf ($4.50) which seemed like it would do the job, and it did! It toasts up very nicely and it has butter and sugar swirled in the center too.
That was also my first visit, but definitely not my last! I need to stop in much earlier for a better selection of baked goodness! ALOHA!!!
