rev:text	I have only 1 review since 2011 so you can see that if I go out of my way to make a complaint it should mean something. I stayed here for 2 nights during the week. My dad passed away a year ago and I've had to come back and forth to fix up the place. After doing demolition work in house I needed a place to stay for a few nights. I wasn't happy to have to pay to stay in a hotel a couple blocks away but it was necessary. I was happy with the price at first but I wasn't sure how long I needed and I didn't want to overbook. I asked the guy at the counter if prices change day to day. I told him I wanted to know so if I overbooked and wanted to cancel later would I have a problem? He said politely that if I wanted to stay longer then I could get same rate if I talked to him. I suppose I could've overbooked then canceled but I was being fair. As fair as I was being treated in the beginning. It was late and I checked in to expect some light cleaning as always. I usually bring paper towels and cleaner to clean light switches, etc. but this was one of the filthiest hotels I had to clean. Black gunk on the light switches on all walls. I wiped off all counters as usual but there was sticky stuff that I had to scrape off on a couple counters. The floor was not completely cleaned either. I wiped some spots off toilet too. I was finished cleaning and took a shower. Then I realized I had no bath towels or facial cloth. They left a hand towel and bath mat so I was able to use hand towel. I called the front desk and the guy brought a bigger towel and facial cloth right away. I got a good night sleep but my Internet service on phone never worked and I basically just slept. But then when it came time to add another day, of course the original guy wasn't there and so I spoke with manager Curtis who was not as friendly. In fact he had a terrible ego and not reasonable at all. He said proudly that only he had the authority to change prices. It's almost like he was trying to be the King and didn't want any other peasants stepping on his toes in the Quality Kingdom. Good customer service would be to go ahead and honor what someone else offers. Especially because I could've just overbooked but I didn't. Then I got upset because I thought about all the cleaning I did and the problem with towels, I thought that maybe if I mentioned it to the manager that he could just honor the price I was originally offered in checking in. Really, it was only a $15 difference but it's the principle. Especially cuz I was thinking about staying a couple extra days. Curtis started arguing with me about the cleaning. He was treating me like I was making things up. He said the rooms are approved before they are rented which means someone isn't really paying close attention. He was saying that all counters get wiped down. I was trying to explain that it was a syrup of some kind and that just because you wipe down a surface doesn't mean it's exactly clean. He was so out of his profession to argue with a paying customer about levels of cleanliness. I'm amazed he can hold a position in management with that attitude. He didn't even care that I was trying to share some customer feedback. Then he said he wasn't extending my stay. Now just so you know, I never once raised my voice. I did however bring the empty paper towel holder at checkout and asked if I could have a tip for cleaning the room. I gently threw it on counter. Then he told me he could call the police and I could get a ticket for threatening the staff! Lol omg, one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had in all my 44 years on planet earth. Definitely NOT Quality Customer Service.
