  • Lefty's caters to a predominantly African American crowd. Don't let that stop you from a great barbershop. I was the only person in there that was white and In a Hawaiian shirt. The hip hop beats in the room and a large screen tv had the game on. The gentleman against the back wall named Ted ( who is also from Chicago like me) is a great barber. Attention to detail was top notch. He asked me what I was looking for on the sides and top. My haircut was fantastic. I didn't even ask but he cleaned up my ears. Shave cream and then A hot towel were applied and then a razor on my neck and sideburns area. He then asked about my eyebrows and clipped to the perfect length. They get $ 22 for a haircut which is a fine since even though I have very little hair on top I'm still priced the same. Parking is out front. Don't be scared when you open the door and hear the music. It's s great haircut and relaxing experience.
