  • I was surprised to read the negative reviews on here, and I felt compelled to write a review. After moving to Charlotte and finding a dearth of decent sushi restaurants, I decided to start slicing my own sashimi and creating my own rolls. By far, Carolina Fish has the best sashimi grade tuna and salmon in Charlotte. While others may carry similar grade fish, they are also substantially more expensive (I'm looking at you, Clean Catch). The service has been great every single time and they never have an issue cutting a large slice from the filet, EXACTLY where I tell them to cut when I'm looking for a heavily marbelized slice of salmon. Although the drive to this market is 30 minutes, I do it about once a month to get our sashimi/sushi fix. No the seafood is not cheap, but for good quality, I find it to be well worth it.
