| - My husband had been dying to go to Rogers Centre, so when we had a long weekend, I booked a trip to Toronto. As it was a Yankees game, we bought our tickets ahead of time, good thing we did. They were pretty much sold out when we went to the box office to pick up our tickets.
Both my husband and I are big fans of the scene outside the stadiums, and walking over the bridge to the stadium was just a part of it. I was a little annoyed that the tickets designated a specific gate you had to use depending on your seats, especially since our gate seemed to be mass chaos. However, the next weekend I went to the a Yankee game at home, and actually now appreciate the designated gates. While it might have seen like mass chaos at the time, it ensured only a certain amount of people were going through each gate, and it evenly distributes the crowd, as opposed to everyone crowding gate 6 at Yankee stadium because it's more convenient when you get off the train.
We were scheduled to take a tour behind the scenes, that was very interesting and informative. Since we went behind the scenes, we didn't really get to do our usual walk around the park, but that's fine, it just means we have to go back! We were told, the entire summer, it had been an average of about 60 degrees. The weekend we were in toronto, it was 90. I thought they might close the roof due to the heat, but it stayed open. It was slightly disappointing we didn't get to see the roof closed/closing, but that's okay.
It was a great game, and even better because the Yankees won. We really enjoyed this stadium and can't wait to go back! Actually, it's my husband's new favorite stadium.
