rev:text	As a pedestrian, crossing the street in a crosswalk, I was struck by a driver at 2:04pm on Christmas Eve 2017........I had never before been involved in an accident like that before in my life (I am an active 74-years old), so I really didn't know who to call, or even if I needed legal representation......I was recommended to Henness & Haight by my attorney in Orange County, California.....and it was the best advice I have ever received, attorney Shaun Muaina came to my home the day I was released from the hospital (after spending three (3) horrific days in the hospital, I grant that it was Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day), but Shaun was there to explain the circumstances of the event, my options and what to expect from the opposition.....and he was very professional and very thorough, and did not leave until he was certain that I understood everything he had said. In subsequent weeks, as I struggled with a major break, and immobilization of my left leg, Shaun and his Paralegal, Julia Smith, were on the phone regularly advising me of my medical and medical transportation options, and making certain that I was getting all the best treatment available. Shaun made certain that I understood the limitations of Nevada State automobile insurance law, and the fact that the woman who hit me, carried next to the minimum coverage, lived with her parents, and was driving a car registered to her parents.......and so had no assets or resources to attach as a result of a possible civil suit, but would almost certainly extend the length of time it would take to settle my case (I was concerned because my medical expenses had already exceeded the limits of her insurance coverage, which I guess is not uncommon in Nevada).........in any event Shaun was very tenacious, and determined to reach a fair and equitable settlement......that he was actually able to resolve my case in about six (6) months was an amazing accomplishment. I recommend both Shaun and his paralegal, Julia Smith to anyone who has been involved in a personal injury accident, and feels like the odds are stacked against them.
