Oh, The Dime. Another incarnation from the El Furniture Warehouse family. This new spot on Queen has transformed the former Rock Lobster space into an intimate, yet modern-grunge bar.
I came here on a very hot day and sat on the patio. In typical Furniture fashion, we over-ordered. The food is tasty. It's 5$ a dish for a normal-sized portion, so you get a little more than what you pay for when you consider the on-trend menu curation, plating and portion sizes. We ordered the avocado toast, jerk chicken quesadilla, tilapia and the burger and sweet potato fries. My favourites would be the jerk chicken quesadilla and sweet potato fries, both very fresh-tasting and searing hot.
The only I fear I have is that during the wintertime, this place might get very rammed without their large patio. The patio is beautiful! But the space inside is pretty petite compared to their sister locations. Time will tell!
