  • I was not thrilled with Rebel Automotive. I brought my car in when my AC was blowing warm air. I told Joe, the rep I was working with, that I had already recharged it but it didn't work. I also told him I was just interested in just knowing if it was something I could fix myself. He called me a couple hours later and told me it was going to be $400 to fix, and it was the "high side AC line that had a HUGE hole in it". I said that was a little steep and I would like to think about it. He said fine, but the diagnostic was going to be $150. Um, what?! $150 and my AC still isn't working?! I felt so taken advantage of! At no point was I told it would cost that much just to LOOK at it! I looked it up, and by law, a mechanic must make you sign for any repairs costing more than $50. When I went back to pickup my car, I found it parked outside, unattended with the drivers side window completely rolled down. I went in and talked to the Manager, Lee I believe. I asked why my window was rolled down and he said its common for them to do that. I asked if there were cameras, and he said, "Yes.". I looked around...didn't see any cameras. I said, "Are you sure?!". Then he says, "Well, we are always in the office." You COULD NOT see my driver side from the office. I ended up paying the minimum $50 that I thought was fair after they spent the time diagnosing it. I ended up finding the part online for $20, and I am confidant I can just fix it myself. Yes, I am a woman, but I'm not an idiot. THEN, they called me to see if one of their technicians left his wallet in my car?! I was not in there, but since the window was rolled down, and there are no cameras outside (or no one know if there are anyway), who knows if someone took it. I would give one star, but I feel that Lee was very professional and I didn't feel like he treated me like a chump. If you must go here, make sure you know exactly what they are planning, and I would only work with Lee. I'm just so disappointed because they had such great reviews.
