  • Some things are meant to be. After our A/C seemingly died in the middle of Friday night, we called a 24-hour service of a different company- they gave us a time window (& $79.99 diagnostic fee) for the morning/afternoon, this would be on a Saturday, forecasted to be 104 degrees. It was nearing the end of that time-window, and we were starting to really feel the rising heat, when a friend sent us the number for Deke's. Jen answered the phone, dispatched Steve, who just happened to be in our area on another job. That was at 1pm. He was on our doorstep, without requiring a diagnostic fee, and diagnosed the unit (which had, in fact, gone to the A/C heavens and was also causing our breaker to spark :/ not good) in just 15 hot minutes. We had now been waiting for 4 HOT hours on the other company, and these guys were on our doorstep in 15 MINUTES!! We got lucky with good timing and location, but from all the word of mouth that I've heard, they accommodate to the best of their ability for everyone possible. After diagnosing our unit, they were honest in the timeline of getting a new unit- since it happened over the weekend. He said, "we'll call you Monday morning after locating a unit" and also asked if we had somewhere to go for Sunday; I thought that was very thoughtful. Sure enough, we received the call early Monday AM! They located the unit that they recommend for value and quality, an American Standard. I figured we would be displaced until at least Tuesday, as past service companies always seem to lag a day or 2 from their quote. Nope!- Our new unit was installed and we were able to come home by MONDAY afternoon (and we all know Mondays are busy enough- but must be ridiculous for A/C companies in the SW desert mid-summer, I might add) Of course, it was a large check to write, but nowhere near what my worst fears were and I am super impressed/thankful for their service and honesty. I don't often say, but if I could give more stars, I would.
