  • I love Ruelo's cakes. Not only do they look amazing but they're also full of flavour. I will always order the Chocolate Earl Grey or the Green Tea Red Bean Sesame. I find that at a lot of shops, the earl grey flavour can be a bit diluted. This Chocolate Earl Grey cake at Ruelo has such a strong aroma and flavour in every bite! I love Green Tea but I absolutely hate red bean and I would normally pick it out of my desserts. However, Ruelo gets it just right and the they pair the two flavours together perfectly. I would recommend giving this a try, even if you don't like red bean. It also has a great crispy texture to it. The Mango Almond and Chestnut Rum are also very delicious as well - but I can't help it, I always go back to the Chocolate Earl Grey and Green Tea Red Bean Sesame! While I love macarons, I'm honestly not a fan of the ones that Ruelo offer. I prefer a simple standard flavour (and a single colour for photo purposes :D) but the macarons at Ruelo are usually a combination of two flavours have with a filling in the middle that I'm personally not a fan of. Hence, the 4 stars instead of 5.
