  • I love this place - it's kind of a hole in the wall, cozy kind of salon, and any excuse to head out to the South Side is a good one. My hairdresser at MCN stopped working after my first cut with her, so I wasn't too excited to go looking for another hairdresser so soon, but I was really lucky in finding Salon Ivy and I've been a client of Shannon's ever since. Shannon is a great listener and answers any questions you might have about hair styling. I brought in a photo spread from Vogue and she was able to do the cut and color perfectly! She is also a lot of fun to talk to and completely professional. You'll get a great cut at a reasonable price here at Salon Ivy, and I highly recommend Shannon if you have thin, straight hair like mine.
