  • I have been going to the Dental Clinic for one year, 11 visits, having had xrays, peri surgery, gum surgery, bone graft, root canal, caps, dental cleanings, arriving with lots of patience and leaving with some aggravation. I started out getting a cap done only they ended up giving me a temporary cap last June that I just found out eight month's later it is to be a permanent cap. One cannot have a temporary cap as a permanent cap. The doctor (Dr. Francis) told the student that he would not put a permanent cap on because my gum reading was a number 6. I requested the money back for the cap that was paid for in advance and was told I will get it back. It has been a year and I am still waiting. I don't know who to contact any more. I've been to the front desk and they took down all the information and said it takes two month's and the paper work needs "to go all the way up to the President and then all the way back down." hmmm. The front desk personnel are very polite and very helpful. My appointments were on time, my dental student is graduating this month (May). He was very good at his work until he gave me a needle and the novacaine kept leaking out INTO my mouth while he continued to give it and I couldn't yell or anything because my tongue was busy collecting the medicine! The next day I woke up looking like I had Palsy, one half of my face drooped for 2 days. Imagine if I had swallowed? I probably could have died from suffication. When one gets their teeth cleaned, it will happen by first year students. I had to tell them to change their gloves because they would go grabbing for cords on the floor. I had at one time three students cleaning my mouth at once - each student taking turns on a quadrant. Granted they are all learning and were all very polite and professional and you cannot beat their prices. $120 for a root canal versus $3,000 I paid 2 years ago for one. I am retired and tried very hard to be patient spending 3-1/2 hrs in the chair each time. In the winter they have the entire waiting room filled with winter visitors. It is a great school for learning, clean and high tech; but, I will not recommend anyone going there, not even for a cleaning.....
