  • *****BUYER BEWARE***** The absolute worst service I have ever encountered in my life. As a previous yelper wrote, schedule was supposed to be 10 days, but the travesty that took place over the next three weeks while doing business with this three ring circus of a company was enough to cause me to write this review. First problem: when getting a patio installed, they dig huge holes in your yard for the footings that get filled with concrete. These footings have to be inspected by the city, and proficient supplies the documents the inspector needs. When the inspector showed up, these documents apparently were never placed. When I called proficient to let them know, they tried to blame me for it saying my dog may have gotten to it... No. Then they told me the permit process could take a few days to get a new one from the city office. Surprisingly, the runner had it delivered the next day, which means... They never put it there in the first place. This was a Friday, inspector couldn't come back until Monday, we're now 4 days behind schedule. Strike one. Second problem: when they filled said footings with concrete, apparently they're measurements were off. Now let me explain that hear footings are made to anchor the entire patio cover, so these are massive 4x4x6 concrete blocks poured into the ground of my backyard, and now one of them is 2 feet off! So, I call again... They have to repour the concrete. The owner Matt's (who I'll dig into later) excuse, "well you know, sometimes that happens with construction..." Not an answer or apology, we have to have concrete repoured and wait for it to dry, three more days, 7 behind schedule, massive concrete block in my yard that I won't be able to put landscaping on. Strike two. Third challenge: finally at the end of this experience, the last day was supposed to be paint, shingles, and clean up. Shingles guy comes on time and does a good job... No paint. I have to call them yet again, they reschedule paint for the next day and reschedule the final inspection... 2 more days behind, 9 days total, strike 3. Now about their owner, Matt. The fundamentals of basic customer service have completely eluded him, and I feel sorry for his employees as they are all nice people. When I spoke with him about the challenges I had, all he had to say was "Well, sometimes stuff happens with construction and people expect us to take off hundreds of dollars. We do gift cards. I could give you a $25 gift card if that'll make you feel better..." He had the audacity to offer me a $25 gift card after completely botching a $6500 patio cover!! Granted, the patio cover is beautiful and would have been worth it, had his service levels not been so subpar. All I can say, is please do not do business with this company. You will not be pleased with the service you receive.
