  • We just adopted a Chihuahua from the pound. They have a partnership with VCA and did a free check up on him. We got checked by Dr. Wallace and he was great. He and the vet tech had a great report with our boy, they didn't just grab him but waited until he was calm enough to go along with it. And he didn't just look at him and dismiss us, he made sure we had all the information we would need. He went over what kind of food to feed him, how much to feed him, when to feed him, what things we should be concerned with for his breed, and things we shouldn't be concerned about because of our climate. He talked about if we decided to travel with him in the future, or if we wanted to take him hiking or another out door activity. He talked about bathing him and what to use and even about his nails and teeth. Most of these things we wouldn't have even thought to ask but he was genuinely happy we adopted an animal and wanted to tell us how to take care of him. Our pup did have some issues with his teeth that we saw before we adopted him. We asked for a quote to resolve them and he gave us one, but he also explained why on each line item and advised we shop around but if we did shop around to compare the line items because some vets will cut these specific items to make it cheaper and it could be very bad for our boy. We did end up getting them resolved about a week later and they were great. My boyfriend was so nervous he called twice to check on him during the process and they were kind on the phone. Special shout out to Andrew who helped us every time we were there and is extremely nice. Finally we had a concern with the medication he was on after getting his teeth fixed, we called and Dr. Knightly called us back and went over all of our concerns and explained everything thoroughly. I Honestly couldn't rave enough about my experience with this vet, Dr Wallace, all the vet techs, Andrew at the front counter, and Dr knightly were really above and beyond.
