Well, took Bella (dog about 7/8 yrs old) in because she wasn't feeling well (breathing hard, no energy, not eating/drinking, coughing) and met with the vet.
They took her back and had blood drawn and checked on her. He suggested get blood work done to see if there is an infection or something. Vet came back and some initial tests were negative, but he did hear a heart murmur. He stated "let's wait on the results from the blood work which should be about 3-5 days (this being a Tuesday - I said ok. He then said if they come back negative they can do chest X-rays due to the noise he heard while listening to her heart.
Sad news...two days later she passed away. Doctor called on Friday and had all results in and all negative. I told him about her passing and he stated "wow, didn't have that in my radar".
Yes, I'm upset as the family dog has passed. I'm a bit upset the vet didn't act more on the initial heart murmur indication. Not happy spending $392 for antibiotics and for my dog to pass two days later. I guess it is what it is, but to me the vet should have known or done more.
I won't take any other of my pets here due lack of action. Price is second to keeping your pet alive.
