| - Dear Midwest,
Please stop acting like East Coast people are mean.
CLE is The Worst Airport in the entire U.S. of A. The rudest airport people I have ever interacted with and I've been to the Philly airport multiple times. When I run into not just one jerk but several jerks working at the airport, you know something is up with the city that you are visiting.
1st jerk: TSA agent one: She was peeved that I wanted to hold my boarding pass and passport while going through security; something I always do. Seriously, lady? You're gonna get all snippy because I want to hold these in my hands?
2nd jerk: TSA agent two: Got peeved that I didn't want to walk through the scanner. No, I don't want you to run radiowaves through me and look at my naked images regardless how safe you say it is. You are an expert on the safety of these scanners, aren't you? Yes, I know it will take longer for a pat down. Thanks for letting me know, captain obvious.
Jerk 3: Wow, never in my life had I witnessed such rude behavior from an employee as I did when I overheard a Continental rep talk down to an international traveler about checking in a bag.
Traveler: Why was I charged $25 for my bag?
Rep: If you check in a bag, miss, we are going to charge you for your bag. That's been policy for a year.
Traveler: It was a small bag (Broken English).
Rep: Why did you check it in if it was carry on size? (condescending laughter)
Traveler: I didn't pay in Germany or Toronto (More broken English).
Rep: Oh, this is a domestic flight. You pay $25 for a domestic flight.
Traveler: Oh
Rep: You should have carried it here and put a blue tag on it. (More condescending laughter)
Jerk 4 and 5: Ladies at the Continental customer service desk. I will not talk about it because it makes me that angry.
The city of Cleveland sucks; be glad people are actually there to visit. Start being nicer so that people actually want to come back.
