| - Service/Atmosphere 9/10
This place really cares about creating an excellent guest experience and making you feel comfortable. As soon as we walked into the restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon, we were enthusiastically welcomed by all of the crew and promptly seated. Our server was very friendly and open. The place was pretty lively, and I liked the vibe, despite the fact that they play a lot of rock and metal - which I'm not really into.
Food 3/10
The food was very underwhelming and I felt as though there was little thought and effort towards the menu. I understand that my expectations should not be high for the $5 price tag, however, I don't think this food would even be worth $2...yikes. I had the jerk chicken tacos, and they had absolutely NO flavor, the breakfast potato skins were poorly constructed and the ingredients tasted very low quality. I'm a firm believer in "If you can't do it well, don't do it at all" so I'm very curious to know who thought they could pull off jerk chicken tacos for $5. I would compare that chicken to the shredded chicken found in dog food.
Not all the food was bad though; I also had the poutine and the calamari, and they were enjoyable enough.
Drinks 7/10
I enjoyed the cocktail menu, and I liked how creative it and different it was. I tried the key lime pie cocktail and the Caesar which were both made well and not watered down. My only complaint however, is that most of the cocktails were all sugar. I understand that they cater to a younger crowd, however I wish there were a few more sophisticated cocktails.
