| - This was my first time dining at Marché Bacchus. My boyfriend brought me here for dinner on a quiet Saturday. He's been here previously for a birthday brunch, as well as picking up wine. Anyway, we were pretty much in the mood to wine & dine, and that's exactly what we did with a 3 course meal.
The sun was setting as they were seating us at the patio right next to the fireplace. I was hesitant at first because it was soooo cold out there, but our server Vince kindly asked if I wanted the overhead heater to be turned on. I couldn't get over how beautiful the view was from where we were sitting (mostly because we don't see a lot of water in Vegas lol).
Appetizers:
-Roasted Hudson Valley Foi Gras
-Chef's Selection of Artisan Cheeses
I must say, I wasn't sure how to feel about the Foi Gras. The flavors were definitely there, but I just think I wasn't used to the textures. It melts in your mouth & it was definitely interesting. On the other hand, I enjoyed the cheeses and the Chardonnay I ordered to pair it with.
*Vince kindly brought us other wines to taste. Very sweet of him*
Entrées:
-Steak "Frites"
-Oven Roasted Grouper
I ordered the steak frites and it was delicious. The wagyu was cooked medium rare and was tender and juicy. I paired my entrée with a Pinot Noir. My boyfriend ordered the Grouper and he says the flavors were perfectly balanced. He paired his entrée with a Cab. Yummm!!
Dessert: crème brûlée
As if we weren't full enough, our wonderful server Vince showed us the dessert menu and he recommended the crème brûlée. I was a fan of the custard base, but I found the caramel on top to be too sweet for me. Still very good!
Overall, my first experience here was phenomenal. It was literally the perfect date night, from the atmosphere to the food and service. It was intimate and romantic. You definitely get what you pay for.
10/10 would recommend.
