| - Sadly it only takes one bad experience to ruin a favorite when one can not even look at the restaurant the same. First off, the staff is and always has been amazing! However about a month ago, I went in with some friends and got a formerly favorite of mine but it was severely undercooked. As many awesome experiences as I've had with this place, the one bad one has me second guessing ever coming back.
I ordered the chicken pot pie which is always amazing. The ingredients are usually prepared to perfection, from the bowl to the veggies, to the chicken, and the sauce. (I also love the Sage Fried Chicken Benedict which I've ordered many times here and has always been awesome.) This time the chicken was severely undercooked. It was slimy and almost raw. The veggies were also undercooked, but it didn't matter as my dinner was done after a few bites of the chicken. I brought most of it home, intending to cook it later. After two weeks of staring at it in the fridge and almost losing my lunch each time, I can say it was an effective weight loss tool, so there's that.
I've been to most of the other locations in Vegas, and I'll be going to the one on Sahara in the future. I will not likely be back to this one despite many good experiences. I'm also struggling to ever order the chicken pot pie at any of the locations after this experience. It is a shame because when done correctly, it is an amazing dish, one of their best.
