| - I used to enjoy shopping here on a weekly basis but you know that old saying "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me?" This location has at least one scale that is way off and if you don't notice it, you will end up paying $5.00, $10.00 or more extra at checkout. The only reason It was spotted is because my husband went in to purchase one dry good item from their bins and weighed - and I use that term loosely here since the thing hanging up purporting to be a scale was completely inaccurate - the item. When he got to the checkout counter, the cost was almost double what it should have been for two pounds of dry goods. How many people have given Sprouts an extra $10 bucks by buying several items and not paying attention when things weighed on that scale, come out 2 pounds heavier than expected at checkout? What a way for Sprouts to make extra money off of customers. When brought to the cashier's attention, the young man couldn't understand the problem. He said it might have been hung wrong and that one side is inaccurate. Oh gee, goody for the customer. Oh wait- it's of course in the store's favor- by almost two pounds. If you are buying their $12.95 a pound loose pecans and you have a whole lot of other groceries you might not realize until you get home that you've been charged $36 for that 1 pound of $12.95 pecans. Lucky Sprouts! It didn't seem like the two workers we spoke to were going to do anything about the problem even though they could visibly see the scale was off - in fact my husband's questions were met by blank, uncomprehending, stares. If you buy items that need weighing, and are not super rich, you better check and recheck on several different scales or bring your own!
