| - Given that this place is rated #1 on yelp, I was EXTREMELY disappointed when this place did not measure up. Things that were terrible:
(1) The massage was 10% massage and 90% petting. I kept waiting for the massage to start; like maybe this was somehow a prequel to something amazing, but it never did. It was just a bunch of pressure-less touching.
(2) Did I accidentally order a foot and hand massage?? The girl spent like 60 minutes of my 90 minute massage on my feet and hands alone. Maybe she had a fetish or something, but I specifically expressed to her at the beginning that I wanted the focus to be on my back, where she lightly petted for about 10 minutes.
(3) She used HANDFULS of ICE COLD lotion all over my body. And when I say "handfuls," I mean HANDFULS. I've never needed to shower so much after any massage as I did with this one. I almost slipped in the tub, because there was SO MUCH lotion on my feet (see section (2) above). Also, the lotion was so cold that it made me jump back and screamed "ooooo," to which she said nothing, as she just kept adding more and more ice cold lotion to my body. I've never been so cold in a massage.
(4) She rubbed lotion on my FACE!? No professional masseuse does this WITHOUT ASKING. Ever.
(5) No one asked me if I even "liked" my massage. I was debating in my head the entire time if I should lie or tell the truth about my experience after it was over, but it didn't even matter anyways. It's like they knew it was going to be the worst massage of my life. lol
Someone gave me a gift certificate to this place for Christmas and I tipped 20% (because I'm not an a-hole), but I do not understand why this place is rated so highly. It was just irredeemably bad. As often as I get massages, you couldn't pay me to go back to this place. It was just... bad.
