This has got to be super close to the my top yoga studio in my books. It met my criteria, except for a few.... let's see...
- Easy checkin, friendly folks - YEP
- water for sale, water bottles, mat rental - YEP
- drinking water available - YEP in the bathroom
- ample changeroom space without bumping into sweaty bodies - YEP , they did a really good job optimizing the space in there. There was at least 20 people in there, and didn't feel squished at all. Liked the added island in the middle for more storage space
- good decor - YEP really like the patterned porcelain sinks
- perks - YEP - hair dryer with different attachments, hair ties to take
- shower curtains/doors - NOPE. I saw many a naked body today. (2 showers but use at your own risk. The one at the back you can't see, but the one closer to the front is a free for all
- toilets clean - YEP
- studio big and spacious - YEP, fit about 27 people comfortably. probably 40 ppl squishy-ly
- cork floors - NOPE - i like cork floors better cuz it's somewhat mushy and better for standing and it doesn't smell
- clean room before going in - YEP
- ceiling fans and instructor turns it on near end of class - YEP I like that because it dries me off a little but I think she turned it out too early (not even lying down yet)
also, she had a temperature gauge on her at all times
- instructor good, helpful, and concentrated on alignment - YEP
- mirrors - YEP
- did not allow bags inside - YEP and the reception ensured me nothing will get stolen, sometimes I don't believe that because what about the people inside?
- lockers - NOPE
- parking - YEP on street 6 spaces free, or $4 across the street in lot, or in the back for $3.00 for 1.5 hrs
- subway - YEP Jane (i think)
I also saw a girl there with her very asian parents for the first time. they seemed to be some what comfortable. That means something right!!
I'm definitely coming back!! Great neighbourhood place
