  • Total Body Physical Therapy how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.. Amy is seriously amazing. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable in her study but she is so sweet, so personable, so flexible and kind. I came to see her when I was around 8 months postpartum. I had horrible back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, and Diastasis Recti. Oh the joys of pregnancy! ;) I've been working with Amy for 3 months now and my muscles in my back are becoming mobile again and my pain level has gone down, pelvic floor dysfunction no longer an issue, Diastasis Recti gap has reduced, and my core is feeling so much stronger! This is all extremely exciting in my world!! I feel so much more informed and prepared for my next pregnancy as well and I hope that I am still in the Phoenix area for it so that I can be under Amy's care! I've been running as late as 30+ minutes to an appointment (I completely spaced that I had an appointment that day) and Amy not only still saw me but was so gracious about it. During my last appointment I had to bring my now 11 month old (husband working, friend canceled). I was a bit stressed about how it was going to go, if he was going to scream the entire time and they would try and rush me out the door. YOU GUYS, they went above and beyond to be gracious about it!! First, Meghan (PT Assistant) showed me how to do an exercise and then played with my son while also watching me to make sure I was doing the exercises properly. When I was done with exercises and had to lay down on the table to be "worked on," she made sure I was faced towards him and he was right next to me. Amy was so nice about it too and talked to him while working on my back. Now I have to say that my son is a happy baby, loves people, and was flirting with all the ladies there lol but towards the end is when he started to get restless and began to cry. So, Jenny (the receptionist) strolled him around the office (Seriously, where else would they do this?? ) and Amy took her time working on my back and not rushing me through my appointment what-so-ever! I just cant recommend them enough. I felt broken after the pregnancy and delivery of my son and Amy and her team are helping me to feel back to myself again, I'm so thankful! P.S. Now dont go into your appointment with your kid and tell them my review said they would babysit haha! I just want everyone to know what my experience was that day when I was in a bind and how gracious and positive they were about it because they are awesome people. P.s.s. They also provide you with resistance bands so you can complete all your excercises at home! Whaaat? So awesome!
