| - It pains me to give this a low review, but after being a faithful and long time customer of Paymon's dating back to the original location in the early 90's I had such a disappointing service experience that I don't think I will return.
A few weeks back my family and I stopped in for dinner just past 9 pm. Our drink orders were taken (tap water for me, an ice tea, and a child's soda) and menus were presented. When the waitress brought back the drinks I asked if we could have a full house menu, as there was only bar food. She said that the kitchen had just closed and this was all they had. I don't a lot of fried food, and neither does my child. He wanted hummus and pita, so I asked if she could go into the kitchen and see if there was any hummus or baba ganoush left, figuring I could always have it on a pita as a vegetarian sandwich. It was literally 10 after 9, and the items I was asking for were no cook. Plus, other diners were still being served from the kitchen. She came back and said that the chef wouldn't be able to accommodate me, and that she didn't know why. She apologized and said that she works every Thursday night and I could come back any other time after hours and get it. Well...If I could have it on any other Thursday night after 9 pm, why couldn't I have it on that night? Especially when other diners were still being served food from the full menu?
We decided not to stay, and apologized to her. She gave us a bill for the ice tea and soft drink which came to over $6! We paid and left.
I have always loved their food, but no matter how much I want it, I doubt I will go back.
