I recently purchased a GE Cafe Dual Fuel range (gas and electric) and a GE Convection/Microwave. The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. However, he told me to have my appliances delivered even though they could not be installed as our floors were in the process of being replaced and new cabinets installed. He said he would have the installers come to install later. When the installers arrived, they said the new duct work for the microwave was not correct and left. They didn't even look at the appliances or my gas hookup or anything. We had the duct work corrected. I scheduled the installers to come back. On the same day, just before they arrived, my granite installer opened the box for the range to measure it to assure the opening for the granite would be correct. He noticed that the connection we had for the gas line would not work. When the installers arrived, I brought it to their attention. They said he was right and left again. My plumber came to correct the gas line. I paid Spencer's $100 for delivery and installation and $30 for a Range Cord Kit. The kit was nowhere to be found. I paid the plumber again for a cord. The plumber hooked the gas line to the range. I called Spencer's and was told that the cord was delivered. I was made to feel as if I was lying. At this point, I assumed the installers would come back to put the burners on, check to make sure the appliance was working properly, etc. I was told it would be another $30 and that they don't put the range together. I should do it myself by trial and error because it is very simple. I have built several houses in the Valley and remodeled numerous fix and flip houses. I have never had to put appliances together myself after paying for installation. But then this is the first time I have purchased from Spencer's. I am sure it will be the last
