| - I like Vdara. It has some oddities but I actually welcome them. NO self park. It's all Valet, so be prepared to surrender your keys if you want your car at the hotel with you. Or you'll have to self park next Hotel over. The pool. I didn't get to use the pool because I was there for a conference, but it's just ok. I walked around it. If your a pool person, you might be disappointed. It's nothing spectacular. But it's clean, QUITE, and has great customer service. AND, it probably has the cheapest Pool Cabana rentals of any 5 star hotel on the strip. As in under $150. Try $75 mid-week. Unheard of, unless it's the time of year. Check in was great, and fast. I had no problems and all of my requests at the time of reservation were met. I didn't even have to review them at check in, the front desk people confirmed them before I opened my mouth. That scores big points with me. By far, the nicest employees of all....housekeeping. I was playing with the buttons next to the door and i turned on the do no disturb light without realizing it. So housekeeping didn't clean my room that day. When I returned from my convention that night, I noticed that my room wasn't serviced. But, I had a message on my phone. I retrieved my message, was routed to message center explaining that my room wasn't serviced to respect my do not disturb. Then they asked if I wanted my room attended...at 7pm. I was impressed. I just asked for clean towels, and they brought them in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely stay at Vdara again.
