| - We got married on March 15th, 2014. We got the "Gown and Tux" package where we rent our gown and tux there in Las Vegas. We are from Washington state.
The planning was great. Yvonne was super at communicating with me on details and what to do when we get there. The only bad thing was with my bouquet, I found one on line that I was going to order (about 1 1/2 months before the wedding) and take with me. She said not to order it and she would talk to their florist to see if she could duplicate it. I waited. About 2 weeks before the wedding (and well past the time I could order the one I really wanted) she let me know that the florist couldn't do it unless I wanted to pay $2-300 for one. Um...no...the one i wanted on line was under $100 and that was with rushed shipping! The good thing that came out of that was that I was able to get with my family member who is a florist and put together a beautiful bouquet with flowers I chose. Yvonne did waive the fees for bringing our own bouquet and boutonniere, which was nice.
When we got to Vegas, and went in for our fittings for the gown and tux, we found out that we only had a $200 rental expense covered by Cupid's. HUGE disappointment when all the dresses in my size were between $4-700 (i am a plus size gal). So...for gown I chose...it was either going to be $300 out of pocket we would never see again....or $400 to purchase. We chose to purchase it. So...bad thing turned good again.
On the day of the Wedding, we were greeting outside the door which was very nice. We were swept inside and this is where things were either great or not so good. Natalie, the photographer was very sweet, yet a tad pushy too. She did good at helping the groom keep a great smile, yet focused more on him than anyone else it seemed. Even my mother-in-law thought she was a little "too flirty" with the groom. Tacky when you are taking professional pictures for a WEDDING.
The largest complaint is after the wedding. We felt rushed when it came to photos and choosing them. We decided to purchase the whole package which WAS NOT CHEAP. We had little time to really think about what we were looking at and felt way too rushed. The pictures seemed poorly edited (if they were at all). When we got home we realized they were NOT PROFESSIONAL QUALITY for what you would expect at the price we paid. The coloring was off (very peachy), many out of focus, and several not centered cutting parts of us off. Now, I have not called Cupid's yet to see what they have to say about it, but plan on doing so now that things have settled down a lot.
We got our certificate in a timely manner and the ceremony itself was very nice. I would have liked to have been notified well ahead of time that we were going to be able to say our own words to each other and maybe a prayer included, but it was very very nice.
If it weren't for Yvonne and her being so incredibly helpful prior, during and after the service...I would have given 2 stars rather than 3.
