rev:text	Motel 6 is usually a dependable choice when you just want a no frills clean room for a one night stay while traveling. Our last night on a road trip (April 18th) it was late evening and we were exhausted. Made a huge mistake choosing this location! Driving around the building to find our room noticed a lot of questionable looking characters milling around outside and room doors standing open. The car that we had to park next to was filled to the max with garbage bags...appeared that at least part of the time it was being lived out of. Watched a woman who had been walking a big dog around the parking lot, let it take crap on the parking area and then didn't pick it up. Saw a couple of guys come out of their room with little BMX type bikes and ride off into the night. We finally came to the conclusion that at least some of the rooms must be rented out to people who don't have regular residence. Then...our non-smoking room wreaked of smoke. When I pushed the bedside phone over to make room for my water bottle, there was a slick substance on the surface (like lube. At least I hope that's all it was). The phone was grimey. The desk surface had spill stains on it...obviously hadn't been cleaned. The floor next to the toilet had some sort of spill/stain...hadn't been mopped. The beds looked rumpled...did they change the sheets? The TV had some kind of setting/block on it that would not allow the volume to be turned up past a low level. Crawled into bed to find a hard mattress that was higher on one side than the other so there was only one area to lay flat on. The condition of the place had me looking for bedbugs. At 11pm we were woken up by loud banging from the room above us. Called the front desk and she told me she'd send security up. What Motel 6 has a security guard on duty?! Ok...started wondering if somewhere in the building someone might be cooking meth. Definitely did not feel safe during the night. Overall this place is a seedy dump...crawling with shady transient looking people. Before leaving tried to discuss some of the issues with the gal in the office and got no where. Corporate Motel 6 should shut this place down. Do yourself a favor and bypass this one.
