  • Ellis Island CafĂ© is a blast from the past and in my mind it transports me to a time when Vegas had minimal tourist and it was all ran by the mob. Either that or I've been watching too much Casino lately. When we arrived we parked at this small parking lot between the casino and the hotel next door. As we walked in we were surprised to see an old school casino with low ceilings and lots of locals. When we got to the podium we noticed the deal of the day which was steak and eggs with potatoes for less than $10. My son also ordered a skillet with a ton of meat and potatoes and my wife had the biscuits and gravy. All our food was presented in an old school traditional manner and no fancy cutting or leaves and greens on top of stuff. You are able to get a beer with your meal or just a good coffee. Our waitress was very friendly and called me Hun which I actually like when I am at a place like this because I expect no less. "Old school and down to earth with awesome prices and good flavor," is all I need to say. FYI- I recommended this place to a family we were hanging out with. They ended up going the next day and they made a point of telling us how great their meal was and how glad they were about the price.
