rev:text	Will begin by saying the hospital and the staff at this hospital were exceptional. Everyone we dealt with was top notch. However do not get sideways with their back of house billing department. Objected to my wife having 3 expensive blood tests at the same hospital over 2 separate outpatient surgeries at $2,400 each within a short period of time. Insurance refused to cover one entirely the day prior to the surgery where the blood work was scheduled and completed 2 days prior to the surgery. So .. they claim insurance paid for half leaving $1,200 for us to pay out of pocket. Actually insurance did not pay anything.. normal deduction for a provider for inflated costs charged. Ok... but she just had the blood work done from the first surgery about 3 weeks prior. While I thought we were in the process of negotiating the costs of this blood test from the cancelled surgery they turned it over to a collection agency. Not good, it was a surprise that we handled immediately for credit rating purposes. Bottom line... 5 star experience with those we dealt with in so far as medical care was concerned and no stars for their back of house billing department.... She had another, for a total of 4 each expensive blood tests, one just prior to admitting for the first surgery.. all results available online if you know where to look... multiple blood work like this is a huge scam to run up the bill in our opinion as is the entire insurance industry and medical care providers inflated costs. They both sleep in the same bed, phony high charges to make it look like your insurance is covering costs when in fact they do nothing of the sort. We did negotiate to pay for the price for the final surgery completely outside of any insurance company involvement that was a huge reduction in what a insurance company would have been billed and what we actually would have paid with insurance involvement with all the deductibles and the 80/20 percent typical spit... so with that consideration in mind 3 stars overall.
