| - Worst experience w/ pawn shop ever! I bought a cheap guitar and in my excitement i failed to thoroughly inspect it. Because pawn 1st, is next door to my work and because my sister had been dealing with them for quite awhile i made the mistake of believing i could trust the employees and the items they sell. Everything appeared fine until i unplugged the cord from the bottom of the guitar and the insides and wires came out with it,,,upon closer inspection it was obvious that somebody had used some type of black epoxy substance to hold the wires inside.I tried to return the guitar (with receipt) basically I asked if i could get a full refund and use the money towards the purchase of an undamaged guitar, I also questioned why the store would sell a guitar in this condition, (i was under the impression that the buyers at pawn shops go over items they buy with a fine tooth comb and especially guitars) the employees who up to this point had always been friendly, implied that I had damaged the guitar, and then made the half ass repair myself,,they stated they would never buy/ or sell a guitar in such a poor condition! Not only did they sell me damaged goods but then they add insult to injury by trying to blame me??The manager said they don't normally give refunds if its been longer than 24 hours since purchase(STORE POLICY) but he was going to make an exception in my case. REALLY??? The employees think I damaged it myself and now I'm trying to get over on the store and get a refund,,and yet they are going to make an exception for me and give me back $30 of the $60 I spent. How generous!!!! I was born at night,,but it wasn't last night!!! This place is all around SHADY!! I get satisfaction from knowing that the manager will no longer have VIP parking (the manager and other Pawn first employees had been parking their cars across the street from Pawn 1st. for years , in the parking lot of a very reputable furniture store where I work). From now on they will have to park in the Pawn first parking lot,,(sorry STORE POLICY)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE~~~~~~~~~~The day after i posted this review I received a message from a pawn first GENERAL MANAGER out of Florida., to go back to Pawn 1st and they would pay me the rest of the money i had lost on their guitar.,,I walked into the store the following morning and walked OUT with my fulll refund
