| - Okay, I hate thrill rides. Dread them. But because I promised my friends that I would do it, and I am a woman of my word, I went.
Free Valet. Buy the thrill ride tickets right by the escalator before going up. You will be asked to choose what ride(s) you want to pay for, and they will issue you the tickets.
A nice LONG elevator ride up to floor 108, while the guide inside continues to yap away about how he DIED and came back to life after riding the Big Shot. Thanks for the reassurance buddy. -_-!
You have to ride another elevator up for the Big Shot from the 108th floor.
When you get outside, the view... Glorious. Although I went in the evening, I can only imagine what it looks like during the day....on this ride... even more terrifying....
I've watched a lot of YouTube POV videos and read way too many reviews on this ride. Pretty much psyched myself up more than necessary. When the worker latched my seat, and we started elevating, I was cringing, my heart was pumping out of my chest, and my breathing was shallow as ever. I anticipated that when I hear a "pshhhhhhh" sound coming from under me, I KNEW that I was gonna be shot up to the sky any second thereafter. I screamed my ass off going up, and COULD NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME, scream my way down! Instead I sounded like a constipated idiot who had a lump in her throat.
As much as this ride was extremely scary and nuts, I enjoyed it. For a non-thrill-rider, I can say, I have conquered my fears. Definitely a crazy experience!!!
