  • Update...since it's been over 2 years since my initial review: I just want to say that I'm still coming here, and I'm still a huge fan of this salon. I follow the owner Chrissy and several of the stylists on Instagram (@hairby_chrissy @hairbymarissasue @hannah__smith) and love their work. I think @HabitSalon has a following of women drooling over the hair colors and styles that come out of this place..I sure do! I've always left this salon feeling so much more confident and put together than when I arrived. My blonde color by Marissa has always been ON POINT. She knows the latest styles and color trends. A year ago I purchased clip in extensions that matched my color beautifully, and were trimmed so I had perfect mermaid hair for my wedding. Certainly wasn't cheap (~$400), but totally worth it to me since I wear them all the time. I've learned that when a stylist is good, in order to grow their clientele and earnings, they book several clients at the same time and use their assistants to do the less complicated stuff so that they can focus on the more difficult things like color application, and just move from client to client quickly. So I don't expect Marissa's full attention for the entire session, which is totally fine. HOWEVER I NEVER feel like second fiddle, which is most important. I don't expect her to twiddle her thumbs while waiting for my highlights anyway - she uses her time wisely! Her assistants have always been super friendly and professional too, texting confirmations and rescheduling when necessary, helping wash color out, drying and helping with the finishing touches.
