  • Take your car somewhere else! My husband took his car in for a basic oil change. As he was driving away... black smoke started coming from his muffler. Within minutes his check engine light went on. When he got home, he called Firestone and they told him to bring his car in- in the am. As he waited in line, a female customer was bringing her car in- stating it wasn't acting right after her oil change. After looking at my husband's car, they said that nothing they did caused smoke/ engine light problems to occur as he was driving off their lot. It's all very fishy. A basic oil change is probably going to cost us a ton of money somewhere else!
