| - I usually skim pass negative reviews among a sea of good, but you'll want to read this one.
Question everything these people tell you. If it's not an absolute emergency and you have no other option, take your pet to your normal vet. I honestly have no words for the type of customer service that I have dealt with at CARE. These people are money hungry and refuse to acknowledge any of their faults. My experience with CARE started with a terrible visit, including poor customer service, and ended with an email from the COO who completely ignored every issue that I brought to their attention. I'm almost positive he didn't even bother to read my email. Below, I detailed the highlights of my experience with CARE. My recommendation would be to take your pet somewhere else, if you care about them and want to make sure they're being treated by people who actually care about your pets.
- Ignored by front desk attendants multiple times
- Dog taken for 3 hours and put in a kennel
- Never saw vitals taken or an exam conducted because it's all behind doors, which they forgot to mention
- Asked me to pay money when they didn't know which tests were going to be conducted
- Never provided a detailed explanation of tests or formal quotes
- Withheld information from me regarding my pet's health until it was time to check out at which point they asked for more money
- Received an attitude from the doctor when I asked her to provide more details after finding out information had been withheld from me
- Never called me back when I left a message with a person and by voicemail voicing my concerns
- BEST PART: I figured out where my dog was bleeding from (his tooth) in 5 mins and CARE wanted to charge me nearly $1,000 to run tests to figure out what was wrong. If they had conducted an exam, they would have discovered that in no time.
- Total visit time: 3 hrs
The only resolution they offered was a 10% discount or $12, which I did not take. It was truly unbelievable to receive that as an offer after the horrible experience that I had at CARE. It wasn't about the money. It was about the principle and they failed terribly at recovering from this situation. And because my dog was involved, and he's like my child, it just makes it worse.
What's even more shocking is that I thought they reached out to my vet to go over my concerns about my pet, but they actually reached out to them to save face and explain why I was so incredibly upset with their service. Speaks volumes.
Business is business, I suppose, if that's how you think. I will never bring my dog back here, nor recommend this facility to anyone.
